You Say That You Love Me,
a partnership of Aimée Snell and Helen Broadway, who's shared love of vintage textiles and craft-based production comes from their respective backgrounds in creative practice.
After completing a fine art degree, Aimée spent five years working in high-end photography production, returning to her roots (her parents are fine artists and antiques dealers) to specialise in antique upholstery, embroidery and sewing.
Helen studied Fashion Design and followed a career in print and embroidery design for Lulu Guinness, complemented by her own personal practice in illustration and running of creative textile workshops for schools and urban communities.
Beanbags
We source iconic mid-century patterns and vintage textiles and turn these into limited edition furnishings. Attention to detail in the crafting and workmanship of the pieces guarantees high quality and a long lifespan for each item.
Bold, sophisticated geometric shapes, abundant florals, and signature prints of the 50s, 60s, and 70s are all put to good use in creating a clever new twist on a furnishing favourite – the beanbag.
Beanbags have long been popular, enjoyed for their comfort and as a flexible piece of ‘furniture’, but have rarely been given special treatment as a design item. Taking on the trend for pre-loved textiles and the move away from ‘Ikea Living’ and its mass production techniques, design-aware consumers now wish to reflect this honest and considered aesthetic in their own homes.

Each beanbag is beach-ball shaped and filled with polystyrene beads so that the sitter is hugged comfortably by the seat.
All have a handle for hanging, are double layered and zipped with a fire retardant calico liner for easy cleaning and re-filling.
Fabrics are typically heavy weight linens, cottons, or barkcloth.
Available in 3 sizes
(base 40cm height 40cm)
Each beanbag is a one-off unique piece which has been lovingly handmade in Somerset.
